Welcome to my site! My name is Amanda Michaud, and I am a twenty year old living her life in Connecticut. This blog is one to discuss the struggles we all face, especially in our twenties.

Now it’s time for the basic information about myself. I am the oldest out of three children, and I still live at home while I’m completing school. I’m a college student at Central Connecticut State University, and I’m currently in my third year. I work at a Senior Living Facility as a Concierge as well as their Personalized Living Department.

Anyone who knows me is aware that I am an avid animal lover. I have three amazing dogs, and one dog like cat. Bella is a three year old Border Collie Lab mix, Chloe is a two year old Shetland Sheepdog, Lexi is a four month old Golden Retriever, and Maddie is a four year old domesticated cat. They are my children.

Other then this blog being a requirement for a class I’m taking, I’m really going to try and make the best out of the messages I am trying to project. I personally do not think there is enough of emphasis on legitimate struggles individuals in their twenties are faced with on a daily basis. I’ve dealt with some very significant life changing events in the past few years that have shaped me to who I am now, and this is where I can share and continue to grow.

In the past few years I’ve had to deal with sudden deaths, a heartbreak, the struggles of balancing school and work, etc. These are struggles everyone will face at some point and time in their life, but it’s how those situations and handled and dealt with that will shape our identity.

Most importantly, I’ve been allowing myself to find out who I am and who I truly want to be. This has been this biggest internal struggle I’ve had to face, because it’s not something that fades away into a distant memory. We are reminded of who we are and what we stand for every moment of every day.

This is everyones safe space.
